Independent Coach Community

Facebook page rules

This FREE Facebook community is a place to come together to ask questions, share the latest tip you learned, get answers and MOST importantly to support one another in your role as independent coaches.

We’d love for you to be a part of shaping our community and breathing life into it as we support one another.

To maintain that supportive environment, we have created some rules.  They’re important because YOU are important.  We will monitor the group for compliance because we want YOU to have a great experience.

By being part of this community you are agreeing to these rules listed below.

We exist to support YOU in building your coaching practice not to spam each other.

If you want to give yourself a shout out, wait for the monthly "Pitch Me" thread.  This is where you can promote what's new and exciting with you and your company.  Wait for that thread before you advertise and then check out each other’s advertisements to support each other.  When the "Pitch Me" picture is posted, reply as a comment to the "Pitch Me" thread.  Begin your post with "PitchMe then explain your pitch and add your link.

Spam or inappropriately placed posts will be deleted.

Selling defined:

  • Promoting your company, products, services, events, programs, or trainings.

  • Sharing job openings or posting that your company is hiring.

  • Sharing a video of yourself or your company or LIVE streaming into the group.

  • Posting a link to any of the above.  This includes webinars, affiliate links, posting photos with your company URLs or business name on them – even if they are a ‘free’ offer or asking for ‘volunteers’.

  • Using polls as a way to sneak around these rules.

  • Creating a long post describing the above even without the link or asking people to PM you to find out more about your company, what it offers, etc.  We’re all adults. Let’s not try to scam the rules.

You can and should post any of the above in the weekly "Wednesday WIns" thread established for this reason.

But that is the ONLY time you can or should do so.

We DO want to help you promote your company and at the same time, we want to respect others and the reason this group exists.

We reserve the right to break our own rule and promote something if we feel as though it is of service to the group – after all it is our community and we do manage the group.

We’ll do our best to offer you opportunities to promote while maintaining the integrity of the group. Any posts outside of the monthly promotional threads will be deleted and YOU will be removed from the group.

We agree to honor the Gold Rule – to treat others the way we’d like to be treated.  We expect you to do the same.  This means:

  • Be polite.

  • Respect others – their feelings, their opinions, their privacy, their rights, their work (including their ideas and intellectual property.

  • Be helpful.  Provide genuine feedback, guidance, helpful suggestions, and answers.  Ask questions, explore ideas, co-create.  Be the kind of supportive colleague that you want and need yourself.

  • Give more than you take.  If we all support each other, we all get what we need.

  • No rants.  But sometimes we swear.  If that offends you or you want to defend your political agenda, you should not join this group.  It (nor you) will be tolerated.  Save your personal agenda for your personal page.

If you are rude, disrespectful, spammy, or do anything to cause drama in the group, you will be banned.

Do not PM/DM the admins.  They are here to monitor the group to ensure you have a great experience, not to argue with you behind the scenes about why they deleted a post.

If you must ask if it’s ok to post something, don’t post it.

If you truly need assistance, email us at  We will reply to your email in a timely manner during daytime hours, Monday through Friday.

If you don’t agree to ALL of these rules, kindly find yourself another group. Facebook is a huge place to hang out and there is a place for everyone.  Don’t waste your (or our) time hanging with the wrong Tribe.
